1 | GenLink: A human genetics resource

is a multimedia database resource for human genetics that is currently under development.
GenLink will provide linkage mapping information and software tools that will facilitate the integration of physical and genetic linkage data to produce unified maps of the human genome.
Researchers interested in identifying genes based on map positions should find the resource helpful. The resource is based at the Helen Donis-Keller Lab of Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

3 | The 2nd Internet World Congress on Biomedical Science '95

is planned from December 4 to 15, 1995. All posters and symposia are presented through the WWW server in Mie University, Japan. The discussion will be held in the virtual conference hall.

Researchers all over the world can attend the congress directly from their laboratories or even from their homes. They can browse the papers and can ask any questions as they would do at ordinary meetings. This is actually an innovative application of the Internet. You can look at the proceedings of the 1st WWW Congress at http://www.medic.mie-u.ac.jp/proc.html.

The deadline for registration is September 30. The poster in the HTML
format should be sent by Octorber 28. There is no registration fee or
attendance fee. Everyone interested is welcome to attend the congress.

Further information is available at http://www.medic.mie-u.ac.jp/ANNO/ANNO.html.
