Description:
Areas for plant research: - Agronomic - crops & soils; cropping with biotech include: 1) cropping for fibre to maximize output including photosynthetic process, auxins, for e. g., hydrobiology & marine grasses, sugarcane, straw from grain crops; 2) pharma with crop plants that are "canned" for orthomolecular drugs & nutraceutical products; 3) horticulturals like vegetables & fruit, arboreals and flowering plants (i.e. cash crops); 4) traded commodities or commercial products such as bananas, roses, coffee, pineapples, kiwi fruit, mangoes and avocadoes; 5) silviculture with palm oil, sugaring trees, coconut, hardwoods & softwoods; 6) browse bushes and trees for farm fodders for animals; 7) grain crop boosting: canopy and grain nos., grain size and head size, for e. g., corn, wheat, barley and sorghum; 8) classified cash crops, e. g. tobacco and marijuana, and 9) pasture grasses and legumes for feeding, e. g. lignin content and digestibility, water-soluble carbohydrate content, protease content or activity, functional amino acid content.
- Food - foodstuffs; conception, formulation, manufacturing, supply management, transportation and marketing.
- Health - pharma interventives; used for maintenance and preventative healthcare.
- Materials - biorenewable feedstocks; derivation with fibre fractionation.
- Energy - sustainable sources for alternative energy to current conventionalities (e. g. fossil fuels, nuclear).
Technologies are: - Agronomic - XLGrow var. of marine grass spp. - XLGrow var. of energy marine grass spp. feedstock. - HI-HIS forages & cereals (grazers & pre-fattening), e. g. corn; many proteins in plant metabolism can be used as "sinks" for HIS or as free HIS that is consequently "protected", an emerging amino acid for plant and animal metabolism; this has previously been presented for the author's research at Kalamazoo College's BeLight e-Zine Class Notes (2017).
- Food - GMO/non-GMO "golden rice" or sticky rice variety; boosted carotenoid content with essences of saffron proposed.
- Health - pharma, e. g. functional foods; Vitamin D agoniste dubbed: Retonibionol (R) (generic name).
- Materials - high C-fibrestock for conversion to CH4 as raw material to make "super polymer" (see: IBPN in this listing of biomedical cos. for "SkyeBlue" for various valuable applications)/lignan extracted material to be revamped or amalgamated for linoleum and countertops/furnishing resurfacing.
- Energy - feedstock for biodiesel in leaf area of marinegrass; kerosene from root area of marinegrass.
- Dual-purpose hi-fibre (hemi-/cellulose and/or pectin) leguminous cereals using non-GMO PNA technology for intensive farming practice to feed both starch, protein and hi-fibre for ruminant livestock while apportioning the chaff, stover or straw for feedstock used for feed or energy manufacture; a food application for this cereal grain type is to develop, grow and manufacture a hi-fibre, hi-protein 'low-calorie' peanut and snack ( and even other legume grains); another food application is for making grain-fruit cidres (likely an acetic acid-type fermentation with fermentation spp.).
- Novel areas being researched with 'PNA Technology' are with the components of cereal grain or seeds as with: oils, sugars, pectins, hemi-cellulose and lignan both as a food, animal fodder to produce ales, oils or fats, HI-performance cereal and dual-cereal cropping for animal fodder.
- Another new proposal in what is termed "plant pharming" for drug discovery is a supposed technique with sub-/hydroponics and "SkyeBlue's" proprietary seco-sterol agent as an input via what is called positive intravascular osmotic pressure to the plant stem-root junction as a "grafted clipped on"; research will provide "adapted enzyme iso-forms" from controlled microbial X-ray exposure that can be subsequently introduced to rec-plant cell hosts to effectively process the transformation along 30 or so remaining steps to the product; more research it is hoped will culminate in a commercially viable micro-driven syringe flanged device that can be clipped on or installed as a "fusion" contact point with selective pore-size, slightly polar polymeric membrane to effectively transfer the solutes through osmotic bulk flow to the plant's vascular system; organelles have yet to be chosen where transformation is to occur with retention before "downstream processing" to isolate and purify the product.
SKYEVIEW: Research and development should continue, led by functional foods, nutritionals (including supplements, Vit. and minerals) and the "unique" in vivo pharmacopoeia to be discovered by in situ, ex vivo studies that can protect, reverse and even maintain health from the ravages of modern day occupational-related diseases, some scope offered by the low molecular weight [LMW] proteome including transcriptional factors (TFs) that control expresion of cellular gene products and a wider scope found, it is believed, within the ecosphere for phytobotanical pharmacopoeia from their natural habitats, including the vast rainforests of the world (e.g. the Philippines, Borneo/Sarawak, Brazil). SKYEVIEW: Earlier we referred to the use of functional foods and their delivery to the general population such as: PUFAs [oleo-margarines which may be liquid at room temperature (degrees C), patent pending in U.S.A.] then kneaded into breads (the French and their Boulangeries or bake shops are notorious for the varietous) with a pump dispenser, a nifty idea, when producing breads in a "sink-bowl" with wash drain (patent pending in U.S.A.) before setting to rise (additionally applied to use when making gravies, mayonnaise, sour cream, yoghurt, cream cheese, salad dresings (and the list just goes on and on). The application of inulin in both "as is" fruit & veggies. Also supplements as with functional fructan like inulin & VitD to both prevent chronic inflammation and eventual health problems that are cardiopathic, relating to T2Diabetes, and cancers including the colon. SKYEVIEW: What wonders 'Pinoy' (Filipino) phytopharma can offer from our plethora of forests, orchards, farms and fields and its native flora. We'll be sure to work away as to what ingredients, for e. g., Annonaceous acetogenins have been thus researched in the much loved and luscious guayabano fruit and their 'tea leaves', that controls the inflammation response, as has been found with fructan and Vit D, and what more perspective this offers for small organic molecules and drugs in molecular medicine. SKYEVIEW: Plantation farming is catching on in the Philippines and the farming of coco sugar based on the influorescence (flowers) and stems and leaves of the coconut tree collected of its sugared tree sap in the tropics and also of maple trees for sap for maple syrup in temperate zones, should be genetically manipulated (GM) for boosted sugar production from a sustainable standpoint of tree-bearing saps, as tillable farm lands become scarcer and the need to grow adaptable, hardy tree spp. in marginal or traditional plantation lands also further adaptable for mixed (plant-animal livestock) farming offering a well-studied and recognized synergy between them. The attractivenes commercially of the functional food of coco sugar is that it offers a low glycaemic index suited for diabetics and shows an investigatable functional profile of: higher levels in minerals: potasium, phosphorous, magnesium and iron and zinc (implicated in glucose uptake) and contains Vit B1, B2, B3 & B6 and 16 different amino acids of which glutamine is highest; in terms of sugar management in diabetes these profile factors should be taken into account and further investigated. Maple syrup and/or sugar will become more attractive as a product and one suitable as an export-type product from countries like Canada. SKYEVIEW: Wondering what the next 'Pinoy' cafe latte will be? Brew some fine Nescafe(R) coffee then add the remaining soya milk or creme from cows milk, coco sugar with its low glycaemic index for diabetics, also, from the coconut palm's collected sap, stir in an anti-cancer fighting acetogenous tea extract from the sour sop's fresh tea leaves and finally add the secret ingredient of our proprietary oleo L-fat from home-spun, partially hydrolyzed olive oil for an extra delicate richness that will blend in with the creme atop and stir in an extra touch of the signature leaf design "with our compliments". SKYEVIEW: The use of low glycaemic load (GL) food acids and sugars to cuisine, as with Philippine cookery, include the new coco sugar (coconut tree sap), citrus juices (with ascorbic acid, citric acid) and vinegar. It has not been proven how these foods act definitively to spare glucose load in the body vis-a-vis tolerance (e. g. uptake) as a preventative measure against glucose intolerance with T2Diabetes. So foods such as coco honey-lemon juice-vineagre as an early morning toddy or in a B-B-Q sauce and other common everyday foods palatable to the Filipino diet including the addition to smelt or salmon. There is now a growing field exploring possible relationships between nutrient intake and genetic variation in response to them and the effect of nutritionals on genetic expression, in this case, with feed additives called nutrigenomics. Translational in nature, this can be tailored for optimum delivery and results in the field of animal and human nutrition. We at "SkyeBlue" have made a commitment to helping developing by advancing this field in concept through innovation. Given the various forages and grain in animal feeding utilizable with use of feed enzyme treatments in studies where anabolic signaling markers can be related to explain growth and body composition response to increased nutrient inputs from treatments, e. g. ensilage with enzyme additions and improvement in digestible energy (DE) and metabolizable energy (ME), organic matter intake (OMI) and flow of duodenal amino acids (DAAs) it remains to be seen if there is scope in the identification, characterization and enumeration of markers in anabolic signaling at this time as this is still a field in its infancy, including supplementation feeding with functional feed ingredients and nutritionals.
