BioCon Valley is the central contact for life science, biotechnology, biosciences and health economy in North Eastern Germany. As an initiative of the German Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vopommern it networks the competencies of business, universities, academies, and research institutions and supports the commercial use of modern life sciences and bio- and medical technologies in the region. As part of several transnational initiatives and networks, such as ScanBalt (www.scanbalt.org), BioCon Valley contributes to the development of the life sciences and health economy sector in the Baltic Sea region.
