BioDesign inc. of New York is a manufacture of products for life sciences research, specifically for the stem cell and cell biology researcher. This includes CellMicroSieves (TM), a unique woven nylon filtering material for whole cells that is available in 11 different pore sizes ranging from 5 to 200 microns. These unique filters do not wet, have no charge, and do not bind proteins. This allows the initial separation of cells based on their physical size and is used in many different stem cell isolation protocols. It is also widely used in many filtering aplications as it's non-binding properties means that none of the desired sample is lost during the filtering steps. The filters also have remarkable resistance to many solvents. BioDesignDialysis Tubing (TM) is available in either 3,500, 8,000 or 12,000 molecular weight cut-off products with five different sizes within each type. This includes the largest size of dialysis tubing produced in the world which has found extensively use in large volume protein and antibody preparations. The dialysis tubing is supplied as a dried product which is quickly re-hydrated. It is especially prepared for life science research with three final rinses in distilled water and is directly used from by the researcher without further treatment. A wide variety of other products are produced by this corporation and are distributed world wide.
