Macrogen unveils initial map of Korean genome

Macrogen, a leading domestic biotech venture company, yesterday unveiled its initial genome map for the Korean people.

The venture firm said it has constructed the blueprint by matching 96,768 Korean bacterial artificial chromosomes (BACs) to the genome map released by the Human Genome Project for each of the 24 chromosomes. ..... full story in the Korean Herald, June 27, 2001
