Xtalks — The Life Science Community™, Online webinar
2026-11-05
Biological processes are shaped by changes across multiple molecular layers, including RNA and proteins, with no single layer telling the whole story. Integrating complementary modalities can provide a more complete view of health and disease, revealing cellular relationships and biological mechanisms that may be missed when analyzing individual data layers alone. This webinar explores how spatial proteomics can be integrated with spatial transcriptomics on the same tissue section to maximize biological insights from valuable tissue samples. The featured speakers will examine a workflow combining a 93-plex spatial proteomics antibody panel with spatial transcriptomics on the same tumor tissue section, highlighting practical considerations, image co-registration and opportunities for deeper tissue characterization. This webinar will also explore research on checkpoint inhibitor-induced liver injury (ChILI), using single-cell spatial proteomics, spatial transcriptomics and bulk T-cell receptor sequencing to identify expanded cytotoxic CD8+ T-cell clones shared between liver and tumor and their interactions with macrophages. Together, these examples demonstrate how integrating spatial protein and RNA information can reveal cellular interactions, disease mechanisms and functional biology that may not be apparent from either modality alone. Attendees will gain practical insights into multimodal spatial workflows and approaches for extracting more information from each tissue section. Register for this webinar to learn how spatial transcriptomics can be integrated with spatial proteomics to deepen tissue characterization and biological interpretation.
