EACR Systemic Consequences of Cancer: Cancer as a Whole-body Disease

  May 14, 2024

The European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), Virtual event, online
25-26 February 2025

This meeting will delve into the profound consequences cancer can have on the body’s usual functions, and the underlying mechanisms behind these systemic effects. The ultimate goal is to explore how we might manipulate these mechanisms to develop more effective cancer treatments and improve the quality of life of patients with advanced cancer. We’ll be covering a wide range of topics including alterations in peripheral tissue function and the metabolic and inflammatory changes they induce, immune system performance, and cancer cachexia.

This conference will be relevant for anyone with an interest in cancer biology, inter-organ communication, the role of cytokines, chemokines, and hormones in cancer, as well as cancer-induced changes in behaviour and metabolism.

Organized by: European Association for Cancer Research (EACR)
Invited Speakers: Dimitrios Anastasiou | Danna Breen | Ayelet Erez | Sarah Maria Fendt | Adrian Hayday | Tobias Janowitz | Manuel Valiente

Deadline for Abstracts: 13 January 2025
