Mount Desert Island Stem Cell Symposium

The Mount Desert Island Stem Cell Symposium is a joint symposium of the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory and The Jackson Laboratory aimed at promoting the exchange of new ideas in the field of stem cell research.

The 2009 symposium, Reprogramming and Epigenetics , will emphasize current research findings and advances involving reprogramming in stem cell development, differentiation, and renewal.

All interested scientists are welcome to preregister and attend. Abstracts are invited. Funds are available to eligible trainees to cover registration, room and board. Travel funds are not available.The meeting will begin at approximately noon on Friday, August 7 and end after dinner on Saturday, August 8. In addition to platform sessions, the Symposium will include a poster session and multiple opportunities for informal discussion and interaction.

Meals (Friday lunch through Saturday dinner) will be held at the MDIBL Dining Hall.
