NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES: BIOLOGY & THERAPEUTICS

  October 23, 2007

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York
December 4-7, 2008

Rational drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases has begun to yield compounds and approaches which are entering the clinic. In order for these human studies to yield a maximum of information and success, it is now more crucial than ever for scientists from academia and industry to have forums for the exchange of data and ideas.

This meeting will consist of six to seven sessions, each of which will be composed of one talk by the session chair, one talk by an invited speaker, and several additional talks selected from the submitted abstracts. It is expected that half of the session chairs and speakers (invited and from submitted abstracts) will be from each "sector": i.e., half from academia and half from industry.

Topics to include but not limited to:

Triplet Repeat Diseases
Tauopathies
Synucleinopathies
Cerebral Amyloidoses
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Mechanisms of Neurodegeneration
Current Therapies and Prevention
Cell and Gene Transfer
Genetics, Genomics & Patient Selection
Innovative Clinical Study Design

The organizers will decide the suitability of each abstract for oral or poster presentation, but please specify if you prefer a poster.
