Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York
May 5 - 9, 2004
You are cordially invited to participate in the seventh biennial meeting on Molecular Chaperones and the Heat Shock Response which will be held at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The meeting will begin on Wednesday, May 5, 2004, and will conclude with lunch on Sunday, May 9. This meeting will cover all aspects of heat shock biology and chaperones. The format of the meeting will include seven morning and evening sessions consisting of eight or nine speakers per session, primarily selected from the abstracts, principally on unpublished work. In addition, there will be three poster sessions, held in the afternoons. The organizers will decide the suitability of each abstract for oral or poster presentation, but please specify if you prefer a poster. Sessions & Chairs: • Diseases of Protein Misfolding Susan Lindquist, Whitehead Institute/MIT • Quality Control & Protein Trafficking Ron Kopito, Stanford University • Cellular Response to Stress Carol Gross, University of California San Francisco • Chaperone Function in Disease and Development Rick Morimoto, Northwestern University • Regulation of the Stress Response David Ron, New York University • Chaperones and Proteolysis Tania Baker, Massachusetts Institute of Technology • Chaperone Biochemistry &Protein Folding Bernd Bukau, Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany
