  Cambridge Healthtech Institute's MICROFLUIDICS Conference
  January 28, 2003

Biotechnology

Cambridge Healthtech Institute, World Trade Center, 200 Seaport Boulevard, Boston, MA 02210
May 15-16, 2003

MAINSTREAMING MICROFLUIDICS immediately follows the Fourth Annual MACRORESULTS FOR MICROARRAYS conference and runs concurrently with the Third Annual GENOMIC AND PROTEOMIC SAMPLE PREPARATION conference.

As micro- and nanoscale technologies diffuse into the drug discovery and development marketplace, questions are raised about their advantages over existing technologies. Will microfluidics technologies integrate with existing technologies or replace entrenched ones? What performance and practical advantages are realized by miniaturization? What kinds of microfluidics applications are most likely to gain wide market acceptance? This conference will answer these questions. It will also present the latest advances in fabrication techniques and materials; pumping, mixing, separation, and detection technologies and strategies for integrating these technologies in drug discovery; drug delivery and optimization; and diagnostics.
