Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Sixth Annual
GENE FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS
February 28-March 1, 2002
Santa Clara Convention Center and Westin Hotel
Santa Clara, California

The genomics revolution has made possible a new era of predictive medicine, and has the potential to change how we understand biology and medicine. The information from sequencing the human genome has revealed the lack of understanding about how biological networks function, and how genetic regulation is controlled. It has also brought attention to the computing systems used to support this understanding, which will need to be brought to bear on this task. Numerous databases have been created to catalog the genes, proteins and metabolites involved in specific functions, however a method for creating pathways that shed light on the interactive biology remains a challenge. Various approaches to modeling pathways will be addressed, along with the technical hurdles and accomplishments deployed towards that goal.

Organized by: Cambridge Healthtech Institute
Invited Speakers: If you would like to submit a proposal to give a presentation or display a poster at this meeting please send us, by fax or email, a title and brief 3-5 sentence summary of a proposed topic on your recent work in the area of the gene functional analysis. The deadline for submission is July 13, 2001. All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program.
