Fourth Workshop on Mouse Molecular Neurogenetics
  April 10, 2001

Neurology / Neuroscience

The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, Maine, USA
12 September - 15 September 2001

The function of this meeting is to provide a forum for researchers and students who work in areas of neurobiology that impact directly upon or use the laboratory mouse as a genetic model system. The laboratory mouse is widely considered the premiere experimental organism for genetic studies that have implications, often direct, for human neurological disorders. The intent of this meeting is to bring students and established investigators with varying expertise and experience together to discuss their research findings, identify areas of common research interest and develop future directions.

Invited speakers will present an overview in each area, highlighting topical issues or questions to be addressed. These introductions will be followed by platform presentations to be selected by the organizers from submitted abstracts. There will also be one poster session and a bio-informatics demonstration. We anticipate a small but highly interactive meeting to facilitate the exchange of the latest ideas between geneticists and neuroscientists, and to promote new scientific collaborations.
