  STEROIDS AND NERVOUS SYSTEM

The meeting will be organized in 5 sessions whose main topis will be:
1) HOW THEY ARE FORMED (one session) -synthesis and metabolism of steroids within the nervous system.
2) HOW THEY ACT (one session) - interaction with classical and non-classical steroid receptors.
3) WHAT THEY DO (three sessions) - neuroendocrine control, effects on glial cells, neuroprotection, effects in peripheral nervous system, behavior, stress, aging.

There will be approximately five invited speakers within each of these sessions. Additional contributed oral or poster presentations will also be accepted on these and related topics.
