CHI's 7th Annual HUMAN GENOME PROJECT: Commercial Implications | ||||
Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI)
, San Francisco, CA February 28-March 1, 2000 |
||||
The scientific progress made possible by the simultaneous development of advanced instrumentation and genomic technologies has lead to an information-rich era in biology. The prolific data will result in the ability to study biology at the cellular level, while the use of DNA-array technology will be instrumental in understanding the expression response to drug treatment. These newly acquired tools, while powerful, also raise questions about how the data should be used. This meeting promises to show the utility of genomics in providing a wealth of information that will continue to revolutionize the traditional approaches to disease biology and the development of effective therapeutic compounds used to improve human health. |
