  September 19, 2018

CfPA-The Center for Professional Advancement, New Brunswick, NJ
March 4-6, 2019

Who Should Attend?
Engineers and scientists who are involved in process development and scale-up, process troubleshooting and scale-down, and pilot plant operations would benefit from this course. This includes people in the following areas:

  • Specialty Chemicals
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Bioprocessing
  • Food
  • Composite Materials
  • Waste Processing

Course Description
Successful process scale-up is critically important when taking an innovative idea and turning it into a commercial reality, while successful process scale-down is essential for troubleshooting or optimizing commercial processes.

This intensive three-day course will provide concepts, methods, and advice on the scaling of processes and the practical application of pilot plants. Participants will apply new techniques to example processes and reflect on how they can directly apply those techniques to their own processes. Lecture, group discussion, group exercises, and individually-focused work will be used to transmit and reinforce the course material.
