Course Description
Establishing a robust, complete and compliant environmental, health and safety (EHS) program is an effective way to mitigate exposure of hazardous chemical, and radioactive agents to employees and the environment. In this course you will learn how to achieve the OSHA goal of the Zero Accident Vision, a philosophy based on the belief that all accidents are preventable. Promoting this vision will establish a culture of workplace safety. This 90-minute accredited training will help identify the critical hazard point in your laboratory, classify your waste streams based on OSHA and EPA requirements and implement USP <800> Hazardous Drugs—Handling in Healthcare for safe handling of hazardous drugs . You will learn the process of managing the program through an effective, robust regular audit to stay compliant. An audit form will be shared as a tool to use when designing an EHS self-auditing program.
