Who Should Attend?
This introductory training will benefit professionals in the public and private sectors involved in the areas of nanotechnology, biomedical research, nanomedicine, biotechnology, future studies, drug development, regulatory science, intellectual property law, venture capitalists, policy makers and governmental affairs.

It will be of interest to academic researchers and scientists, professors, post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, physicians, engineers, patent lawyers, regulatory personnel, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, technology transfer officers, business managers, venture capitalists and policy makers.

This course will be of special interest to federal agencies such as the NIH, FDA, NSF, NIST, NCI, US Army and the Patent Office.

Course Description

New paradigms are shrinking our world and a classic technological revolution is unfolding. The agents of this “revolution” are microscopically small (some futuristic) products of a interdisciplinary field known as nanotechnology. More specifically, nanotechnology is a high-risk, high-payoff global phenomenon, which involves the engineering and application of molecularly precise structures, devices, and systems via controlled manipulation of size and shape at the nanometer scale. This webinar will highlight (via color presentations and animations) the fascinating world of nanotechnology and nanoscience. The course will provide current fundamental concepts in nanotech in an engaging and concise manner.
