Who Should Attend?
The short course will explore the many facets of innovation and ways to approach innovation to provide a more competitive advantage in the marketplace. The course is applicable across all industries and will be especially valuable to personnel in the following areas:
  • Product Development
  • Sales
  • Marketing

In addition, those professionals working as formulators and in the technical service area will benefit greatly from this training.

Course Description
Innovation has been described in many different ways and thus potentially misinterpreted. Not all innovation is new or disruptive, but can also include incremental improvements or repackaging of existing technologies or processes. This revised and updated webinar will explore the different types of innovation (e.g., open, closed, reversed, incremental, disruptive, and “job to be done”), the similarities and differences between them, and case history examples on how they work to change consumer habits and practices.

This 90-minute accredited training will explore how all types of innovation are similar and different at the same time; this will allow for a better appreciation for why some innovations are unpredictably commercial successes, but perceived successful innovations commercially fail.

Also included in this webinar is the course director’s thoughts on “innovation continuum” to implementation of a continuous life-cycle process. This process approach will maintain an never-ending methodology to re-evaluation of past innovations to find the golden nugget to the next “innovation”. One outcome of this approach is to enlist the right resources at the appropriate time to sustain the successful of the existing innovative market share and exploit current market presence to maintain a competitive and disruptive position so as to minimize the success of future competition for your consumer’s attention.
