Ian R. Gecker; President, Ian Gecker and Associates, LLC |
Ian R. Gecker is a veteran of 50 years in the aerosol products manufacturing industry. He started his career as a product development chemist moving on to operations/technical management, executive sales, executive management and company ownerships. He is president of Ian Gecker and Associates, LLC and is a consultant to the industry specializing in product development and product re-formulations to meet changing regulations. Mr. Gecker holds a degree in chemistry and has authored numerous technical papers on aerosol technology and the formulation of various types of aerosol products. He has co-authored an international dissertation on “stable pesticide concentrates and end-use” (stabilization of aerosol insecticide emulsions). He holds a patent on the use of “mixed gas method for filling aerosol containers and aerosol formulas for improved environmental profile by VOC/HFC reduction”. Mr. Gecker is a founding member, past board of directors member and past president of the Western Aerosol Information Bureau, a national aerosol trade association.
