Who Should Attend? This seminar is intended for engineers and technicians who are actively involved with the design and/or operation of distillation equipment. It will also benefit managers, statisticians and others concerned with improving quality and productivity of any manufacturing facility that utilizes distillation equipment. The information is presented in a language that is clear and easy to understand by both the expert and the novice. Dr. Charlie Moore (Professor Emeritus), is Alumni Distinguished Service Professor of Chemical and Bio- Molecular Engineering at the University of Tennessee, where he has been active in research and teaching for over 30 years. He is the author of numerous publications related to process modeling and control. In addition to his activities at the university, Dr. Moore served for 10 years as technical director of the Measurement and Control Engineering an industrial research consortium and has been a consultant with over 30 companies and has taught numerous industrial short courses in the US and Europe.

This three day accredited program will provide an overview of the current practices used to design, operate, and control industrial distillation equipment. Basic and advanced concepts of distillation and their application to day to day operation, system analysis, and troubleshooting will be presented.
