This year, ICCAS is reflecting on a decade of intensive research at the interface between surgery and information technology. Pioneering collaboration among computer scientists, engineers and clinicians has brought forth a wide range of new developments which streamline workflows and enhance the results of operations and interventions. The 2nd DORS is an opportunity to share our long-standing experience and examine the need for further research in computer assisted surgery. Participants can look forward to contributions by clinical, technical and medical IT experts, site visits and application-based workshops. Tuition by experts working in partnership with participants will include both intensive practical exercises and individual support. Clinical topics: - Cardiovascular surgery
- Image-guided interventions
- Ear-, Nose-, Throat surgery
- Cranio-maxillofacial surgery
- Neurosurgery
Technical topics: - Process and workflow management in surgery and image guided interventions
- Digital patient modeling
- Operating room infrastructure
