Who Should Attend?
This on-line training will benefit professionals in the petroleum, chemical and petrochemical industries, and indeed all other industries with maintenance workshops, both on technical and managerial levels. This short on-line course is intended for engineers, technicians and plant operators as well as plant managers and supervisors, working in the following departments:

  • Operation and manufacturing departments 
  • Technical management 
  • Maintenance workshops

Course Description
This course will be available On Demand: March 28, 2015

This 90-minute, accredited, introductory course shall enable participants to acquire additional knowledge and advance their skills in the general field of industrial pollution and wastewater treatment. The course will further aim at better and deeper understanding of the design and operational problems associated with industrial wastewaters, treatment technologies, required qualities and available disposal facilities. Such an insight will enable participants to take more efficient roles in the operation, maintenance and management of such plants.

Invited Speakers:
Dr. Malik L. Hami, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, Consultant Chemical Engineer

Dr. Malik L. Hami is the holder of Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in chemical engineering from British universities. He worked in the petroleum industry for over 13 years prior to full time university appointment, mainly specializing in the fields of water and wastewater engineering as well as industrial pollution. At the university he taught many subjects and conducted research related to water and wastewater treatment, in addition to other chemical and polymer engineering subjects, while, at the same time, was an industrial consultant.

Dr. Hami has conducted extensive research on extrusion of plastics during his Ph.D. thesis and published many research papers, mainly on screw extrusion in deep channels. During his industrial and academic careers, he was additionally giving consultations to the plastics and petrochemical industries.
