This course will give a comprehensive overview of basic concepts, methods and tools in engineering asset maintenance management.

Engineering assets in mining and manufacturing facilities, telecommunication systems, vehicle fleets, power generation stations, and chemical processing facilities represent a significant amount of capital investment. Maintenance management plays a critical role to ensure effective utilization of their full capacity and full useful life, minimal costs in their operation and maintenance, the best reliability, and safe behavior.

The participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of basic concepts, methods and tools in the area of engineering asset maintenance management. They will learn the topics of maintenance concepts, replacement decisions, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, condition based maintenance, asset management programs, and various techniques and tools. The participants will also learn these topics through multiple examples and case studies.
