Functional DNA Nanotechnology

  March 25, 2014

Palazzetto Mattei, Villa Celimontana, Rome
19 - 20 June 2014

The workshop will allow to share knowledge about:

DNA nanotechnology (nanostructures, DNA origami, etc)

DNA-based sensing (aptamers, DNA switches etc)

DNA-based synthetic biology

The program will be structured to favour active interactions among the participants and to catalyze the beginning of new collaborations.

Participants involved in different fields are welcome to join the workshop.

Invited lectures will be allocated 35 plus 5 minutes for discussions. 20 plus 5 minutes for discussion will be allocated for oral contributions.

The poster presentations will be an important part of the conference. One official poster session is planned. However, the posters will be on display during the whole conference, so that there will be time to look at the posters during the breaks.

See www.fdn2014.com for details

Organized by: Francesco Ricci, University of Rome Tor Vergata
Invited Speakers:

Ebbe Sloth Andersen, Aarhus University, Denmark (DNA nanostructure design)

Michael Famulok, Bonn University, Germany (DNA nanoarchitectures)

Kevin W. Plaxco, University of California, Santa Barbara, USA (DNA sensors)

Tambet Teesaalu, Sanford-Burnham Institute, USA (tumor targeting peptide)

Deadline for Abstracts: 2014-06-01

Registration:

Applications for oral or poster contributions or for simple participation are welcome.
The registration fee for the event is 100 EUR and should be paid by all participants.
