OSHA Enforcement for Employers Using Temporary Workers

  July 12, 2013

ComplianceOnline, Online Event
2013-07-23

Why Should You Attend:

Under this new initiative, OSHA has instructed its Compliance Officers to ask employers during all inspections about whether temporary workers are employed at the work site. If they are, the inspection will focus on the compliance issues presented by using temporary workers. It is therefore important to understand the issues underlying the use of temporary workers and how to stay out of trouble.

This webinar will address OSHA’s new initiative focusing on safety and health compliance for temporary service workers. The instructor will explain OSHA’s enforcement initiative; explain the underlying legal principles to determine whether a temporary worker will be considered an employee of the host employer, and offer practical advice about how to ensure compliance.

Areas Covered in the Webinar:

  • Explanation of OSHA’s new Initiative on Temporary Workers
  • How the OSHA Review Commission has determined whether temporary workers are employees of the host employer
  • Practical advice on how to comply with OSHA requirements when temporary employees are being used

Who will Benefit:

  • Facility Managers
  • HR Managers
  • Safety Managers
  • In-house Attorneys
