CfPA - The Center for Professional Advancement, 90 Minute Accredited Online Training
June 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. (ET)
Who Should Attend This online introductory training webinar will benefit operating and design professionals in the following industries: refining, chemicals and petrochemicals processing. The material should also be pertinent for industry, academia, and government operators of pressure vessels and reactors.
This webinar is designed for engineers and technicians who use, install, and design safety valves. Managers responsible for equipment procurement, and detailed equipment design and operation would find the webinar useful. This webinar will enable the participant to understand the performance parameters and to troubleshoot problematic safety valves in pressurized equipment and systems.
Other disciplines who would find this webinar of interest include boiler and process plant operators, maintenance engineers, and plant/project engineers. Description This course will be available On Demand: June 21, 2013
This 90-minute accredited training is an introduction to safety relief valves, and as such some general background on plant operations, valves, process control and this type of equipment is recommended.
The following topics are discussed: • Principles of safety valve design and operation • Installation and troubleshooting • Examination of P&IDs and examples of process locations for such valves • Assembly, repair and disassembly • Explanation of relevant codes • Steam and air testing
Additionally, this webinar will enable the student to correctly identify and troubleshoot problematic safety valves as it relates to pressure controlled process equipment.
