Why Should You Attend:

A company’s Confined Space Program is a prepared to set procedures that will ensure workers safe entry into confined spaces and permit-required confined spaces to perform routine tasks associated with their employment.

This course is designed to give you the basic information of the OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.146 for the Confined Space Entry Permit Program. It will include the written program needed, the recognition of Confined Spaces and the training of personnel who will be responsible to enter into the permitted spaces.

  • Permits and record keeping.
  • Closing down Entry Permit.
  • Understanding alarm system and response.
  • Specific entry procedures for each confined space.
  • Need for practice entrances including Emergency Rescue.

Invited Speakers: Claude Hine, has been writing programs for both municipalities and private industry for the past 20 years. He has written programs and trained employees to enter these confined spaces safely. He has operated H&LP Environmental Consultants, a privately owned consulting company that specializes in writing OSHA programs and training employees to operate within the regulations of the programs. He is currently the Safety Officer for the City of Cohoes, NY, writing and directing their safety programs under the New York State Public Employees Safety and Health division of the New York State Labor Department. He also trains employees for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response regulation, Pesticide Applications, Respiratory Protection and other OSHA safety regulations.
