Despite the recent global recession, the growth rate in chemical production in Asia is still quite substantial, especially in China where it continues to project double digit growth. However, China has not been an easy market to conduct business as it lacked a transparent and consistent body of laws and enforcement concerning chemical control and management. Foreign businesses, as stated by the US Commercial Services in its 2010 Country Commercial Guide for U.S. Companies, tend to under-estimate the challenges of market entry. The situation is expected to improve as China implements its new chemical policy, China REACH, that was enacted on January 19, 2010.

This 90-minute accredited training ourse is designed as a brief, step-by-step guide to help companies to navigate this new territory when they enter the Chinese chemical application market.
