A Town Hall on eSource and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Series: The Merger of EHR and EDC

Importing the relevant data from an EHR directly into an EDC program provides the efficiency of reduced data entry and offers an interface for the sponsor to mange study data. This program will explain the implementation of a system that automatically extracts EHR data into an Electronic Data Capture (EDC) interface. It will describe the implementation issues encountered and will discuss the process efficiencies are realized.
Participants will be able to explore the issues surrounding the implementation of a system for the automated transfer of Electronic Health Record (EHR) data into an Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system and describe the process efficiencies gained by the automated transfer of EHR data into EDC.
