Apr 18 2006

This town hall session will address eSource from three perspectives and engage the audience in an open dialog:

1) From a pharmaceutical industry point of view, we will provide a brief background on electronic data capture (EDC) with a focused discussion on the benefits, challenges and adoption of eSource.

2) The driving role of data interchange standards in facilitating and supporting an eSource strategy position and its vision of eSource in the future state will be shared.

3) With the federal government’s mandate to institute national Electronic Health Records by 2014 and with today’s broad use of EDC/ePRO, clinical researchers need to understand eSource, what can be done now and how it will become an integral part of data acquisition in the future.
