This introductory workshop will emphasize mouse models for human disease. An overview will be presented of relevant mouse-based physiology and anatomy along with the science behind ultrasound and high-resolution ultrasound relating to its adoption as a leading modality for mouse phenotypic analysis for research. We will provide an understanding of the most important characteristics that can be visualized using high frequency ultrasound and how to study function based on these elements.
