In this age of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology the need for a dedicated Journal on Bioinformatics has long been felt. While such journals are available internationally but there is none from India. In the absence of such a vehicle the Indian Bioinformatics Perspective is going unnoticed. We at BII are attempting to bridge this gap and launching a quarterly journal. The Journal will be a comprehensive compendium of Bioinformatics in India and Indian perspective. It will cover all aspects of Bioinformatics and amongst others will also include information on Trends in Bioinformatics
