With the constant changing landscape of the biopharmaceutical industry, coupled with ongoing changes in the CMC compliance regulations, it has become increasingly important to be able to identify and effectively respond to the CMC issues. At each stage of clinical trial development the basic question will be addressed: 'What do we absolutely have to do from a CMC perspective to be successful in getting our biopharmaceutical through the clinical trials and into the market?' While the focus is on FDA requirements, global CMC issues involving EMEA and ICH are also discussed.
