This course will explore the interplay between business goals, trade secrecy, patents and biotechnology transactions, with particular emphasis on discovery inventions, the cornerstones of modern biotechnology companies. This course will provide introductory and intermediate level information regarding obtaining patent protection in biotechnology. Several strategy workshop exercises are conducted during this course to help you learn winning IP strategies and how to develop a working corporate IP plan.
