Mining the Knowledge of the New Genomes
  February 08, 2001

Biochemistry / Immunology

CPD centre, Univeristy of Oxford, Oxford
28 - 29 June 2001

This two-day course aims to introduce the latest ideas emerging from the new genomes. The first draft of the human genome is complete, and representative genomes of plants, fungi, flies and worms are known. But what knowledge can be gleaned from these vast information resources? And what future benefits will the new genomes bring to science and the general population? These issues will be addressed by scientists from academia and industry who are expert in comparative genomics, structural genomics and functional genomics.
