This three-day course aims to introduce many of the fundamental aspects of bioinformatics, as well as giving an overview of how some of these are used in a practical setting. Lectures will be backed up with live demonstrations where appropriate. The lectures will be held in the mornings, and each afternoon will be devoted to practical work aimed at producing familiarity with bioinformatics tools. A dedicated computer terminal will be made available to each participant in the course.
