STURTEVANT: THE LINEAR ARRANGEMENT OF SIX SEX-LINKED FACTORS IN DROSOPHILA

In 1913, the very first genetic map was published. It had been developed overnight by an undergraduate working in Thomas Morgan's laboratory at Columbia University.
