Description:
WETLANDS: Marshes, Lakes, Swamps, Bogs, Sea Meadows, Paddies for River and Streams, Deltas. Farming Crops of Significant Economic Potential and Raising Awareness with Private and Public Stakeholders for their Conservation and/or Preservation as Wetland Resources as part of forming our habitat for humanity on the planet. Crop Resources from Wetlands for Conservation or their Preservation of Plants and Animals in their Natural Habitats: - Duckweed - Ponds and Lakes
- Fresh and Marine Seagrasses - Marine and Freshwater Lake Meadows
- Water Hyacinth - Ponds and Estuarine Rivers and Streams
These are but a few fodder feedstocks that grow lushly in their habitats whether clear water, aquaculturally or in natural silted conditions and should be farmed/managed to avoid choking of the habitats they subsist in otherwise and need further exploration where land is available, but not for tillage, and irrigation is available from solar powered electrodialysis plants (a new revolutionary technology developed earlier from MIT, USA) and reverse osmosis plant. In the Philippine Islands (RP) socio-cultural and vocational factors favour the current move towards wetlands resources including pump boats used for tourism (e. g. whale shark watching), fishing for seafoods (fish, shrimp, crabs, lobsters, clams, oysters and mussels) daily and wetlands (marshes or swamps) farming for crabs and shrimp and root crops (taro, gabi in addition to ube or white/purple yam) for making confections or cakes utilizing rice flour, cocomilk amongst other which can be an export product to place like PR China, S. Korea and Japan for their traditional rice cakes. Currently, there is a small revolution using a company platform (forming USD$100M investment originally) called Bioharvest's Botanical Synthesis (TM) for: nutraceuticals, pharma, cosmetics, food, and also natural sweeteners which can be produced economically from plant cells (non-GMO), not here-to-fore possible including additive flavourings in these concoctions of: Liquorice, Lemon, Strawberry, Mint and Sweetener with other spices including Vanilla.
