Fresh for porcine and cattle; Ensilage for cattle including water buffaloes) and Aquatic Duckweed. 3. HIgh Quality (HQ) Seagrasses (Fresh & Marine, XL-Grow varieties) & Seaweeds (E. g. Ocean Farmed Off-shore) 4. Yeast-Based Single Cell Protein (SCP) (E. g. Salmon and Related Fish spp., Porcine, Poultry, Cattle and Water Buffaloes) 5. Long-Fibre Giant Pangola Tropical/Sub-tropical Grasses (E. g. for Cattle and Water Buffaloes) 6. HIgh Quality (HQ) Seed Protein Extractive Concentrates (SPECs) (E. g. Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, Grains - Corn, Wheat, Soybeans and Canola) There is a question we'd like to ask: Is it possible to go into genomics and bioinformatics analyses of the plant genomes of feedstock sources for lignocellulose to manipulate their sugars, lignin content and enzyme proteases (that degrade proteins after harvest) which could change the future of agriculture around the developing world. Maybe we can add it to the Philippine agenda at UPLB (Philippines) in future in addition presently to coconut, sardines... and now rice straw (there are Philippine-based cos. and now one U.K.-based dealing in this feedstock resource)? And do you have plans to launch development of rice straw in the RP as a feedstock? Plastics can now be manufactured from rice starch/rice straw or fibre carbohydrates and is a good bet for the Philippine's industries like one U. K.-based multiantional with subsidiaries that utilize or exploit pulp, biofuels and improve animal feeds for greater sustainability, compost/fertilizer. (Minimizing carbon-based pollution and supplying fertilizer). Entrepreneurship must be remembered as the driving force behind a successfully up and running business operation that enables technology and its application, business growth or expansion including Overseas destinations like in the U. K. and Australia/N.Z. I would also like to ask about studying the growth cycle of freshwater lake and coastal marine seagrasses for feed and bioenergy from agri-retailers here in Canada with both dairy, pharma and flex fuel producers (gasohol). I am envisioning dairy plants or so-called "milk" factories that can up the ante for producing better 'medicinal' quality milk and more of it for sports and recreational beverages and cheeses (amongst others milk food products) to help enhance food security in the country of Canada and which Filipinos in my other country, the Philippine Islands, should also consider approaching (albeit, lactose tolerance levels in the population in their country). Also the potential for plant-based pharma and bioenergy is too great to estimate! We have plans to enter into farming systems research and field extension in my research area of silage nutrition to create new avenues for the subsistence farmers of the Philippine Islands, my country of origin, to engage in extra-paddy rice farming and support more livestock with irrigation, land repurposing and further exploitation of trending aquatic fodder resources such as water hyacinth and duckweed and continuing carabao ranching with use of seasonal and ensiled sugar cane tops (SCT).
