HISystem - Histidine System for Feeding Dairy Cows has been proposed by "SkyeBlue" using earlier findings with v. spp. which has been suggested for bovine, ovine, porcine, caprine, and fish except avian spp., it's believed.
To our knowledge HIS + ARG has not been studied by infusion in dairy cows and whether the tantamount question of an amino acid imbalance (cf. v. low protein intake or depletion) is the issue. More research & study is needed. There is no study yet on neurhormones & hormones as products to their precursor amino acids.
There is a concern for studying any issues with amino metabolism such as was proposed biochemically for ATPD involving inter-ratioed amino acids entering through the blood-brain barrier and TYR depleting in competition to over infusion of PHE.
These are the factors to be studied regards HIS and/or ARG with LEU infusion on a basal control diet for: a) intake in relation to toxicity and b) metabolism with amino acid nutrition in relation to signal activity in the brain with synthesis of neurhormones, neurotransmitters (labelling and brain imaging technologies).
The areas of science & technology is expansive including the nascent area of functional feeding including of amino acids, in our case HIS, ARG & LEU, amongst others.
