Co-op Areas for Business:

To highlight dairy it is believed, that the horticultural trends with population growth as it mushrooms, possibly still true in future for Canada, will hasten the franchising of outlets for horticultural farming of new fodders or more common forage (above or below water level, in hydroponical terms) and will start to blot the landscape in a densified peri-urban and even in rural areas, like a 'major dairy whole corporation' with its outlet sourcing to answer to the growing societal demands for milk food products, and additionally, backyard and horticultural farming of 'fruit-n-veggie' commodities running parallel in infrastructural facilities in this area of farming industry.

It is predicted that food concerns served by food banks will be fully capacitied to answer to them depending on the attendant labour costs, utilities and other energy-intensive inputs for farming. These can be funded through both federal-provincial granting and donations as a public trust. Their operations will be expected to answer to demands in innovation as 'greener' alternatives to technology that is increasingly becoming non-viable in their related industries, e. g. vermiculture to help sustain and enhance soil fertility in horticulture.

Although we could be moving further "left" in terms of progressive socialism nevertheless we choose to improve efficiency, sustainability and regional food security or assurance, and given the population pressures still present to this day, including our immigration patterns; I hope we move to better cooperativity that is evident of technological savy, practice of the free enterprising values and economic success, with efficiency as an ultimate goal. We can conquer with efficiency and more healthy growth.

Areas for Growth with Further Info Research, Design and Commercialization:

  • Weed Science - modeling C-sinking (e. g. photosynthetic mechanisms) for manufacturing CH4(g), gasohol and more common short-chain alcohols (EtOH, t-BuOH and iso-pentenol), for e. g. silviculture with wood pulp, and farm wastes from straw, stover and haulms
  • Agri-Food Consulting - FYI available for you (14 research folios on file and counting)
  • Aquatic Ecology - water hyacinthe, duckweed, Cryptocoryne (Araceae), marine grass spp.
  • Zoology - salt water spp. of fish with brackish fishpond culture and aquamarine resources
  • Botanical Agriculture - FYI available for you (e.g. seco-steroidal based plant pharma)
  • Biosaline Agriculture - land-based hydroponics (submerged) with seawater or biosaline; these projects like reported salmon hatchery and farming off the tropical salt water seas off Arabia can also be further instituted in semi-arid countries in Arabia and C. Asia.
  • International Development Research - livestock feeding systems (hay, tropical ensilage or processing), co-ops in industry

Milk Food Production (MFP) Security within the Land Food System (LFS) in our Province of British Columbia Canada (sourcing, supply chain and distribution).

It is envisioned for BC to even convert a myriad of watershed hatchery facilities if it is proven that Pacific stocks in salmon have stabilized from the Oceans and to convert them instead to large and what is considered heavy-duty staggered, vertical horticultural farming facilities for raising both economically valuable fruits (berries), veggies and ornamentals (even orchids, as an e. g.) cum salmonids, as an option in seafood raising to alleviate shortages of other than exported Atlantic salmon, of smaller-medium like pink salmon and certain trout spp. (but not Chinook salmon, it appears, for e. g.) through aquaculture which can be fed via mechanical feeders their crumble formula even with new amino acid enhancers useful to improve rate of growth and finishing dress weight. (Note: in the Philippines fish farming is now prevalent but as an investor recently queried whether salmon stock there is "potable" as a stock option for trade on the stock market.)  Sockeye would be raised in this way robustly for lucrative sushi sashimi markets and for smoke salmon exports. There are two options to horticultural farming: planting food or fodder, the latter to be marketed peri-urbanly for dairy producers and in more rural areas for milk production which can be processed by coops or cottage industries to fresh milk and cheese and also using so-called GM hi-producers for cows with fortified milk concentrates as a novel MFP which can be franchised further for delivery door-to-door the old fashioned way complete with the foiled bottled packaging as the milkman used to deliver.  For peri-urban buyers there could be an option of using estuarine aquatic botanicals for cropping to handle processing of hi-load waste effluent from such hi-producing dairy farms in close proximity through dykes leading to waste treatment plants where water can be discharged back to them to handle emergency tidal and overbanked flooding. Global warming is a state of affairs that makes this more conducive to do.

Paddy FarmTech(R) as a "Greener" Technology for Filipino Farmers.

For so-called "paddy" farming in a laissez-faire fashion of co-op cost sharing, competitive marketing, land leasing by government authority and taxation to spread wealth in the economy also through subsidies of input costs including materials and benefits from job creation and employment with technology upgrades using saline-based horticultural (submerged) growing methods with ecologically 'niched' fish farming practices to cross fertilize plant growth and for fish likewise to feed on fish meal and submerged grasses, there is hope that this is incentive enough to engage in franchised co-operative leaseholding with groups of people including with mixed farmers who have animal labour or machine-run equipments.

In short structuring the paddy field is similar to subdividing a rice field plantation developed to a depth of about 4'-5' and lined with hollow brick for weighting then on the floor area lined with clay/loam and then sand inhabitable by both plants and fish with piped in filtered, pumped saline and even adding ecologically sound flora in addition to seagrasses (even duckweed will be promoted for duck farming in fact) keeping in mind hybrids through protoplasmic fusion with calli under saline conditions specially developed for this. During typhoon season battened down heavy duty tarp will anchor down flooded "paddies" clear of fish stocks (harvested) and hermetically sealed from flooding waters for a week on end, which is how long a typhoon ends. Experimental farms in universities can use this quite easily as a recommended guideline for further testing (material) and experimentation (with parameterization).

We don't know the land situation with burgeoning populations and the need even for land reform in the Philippines, its pressing socio-political issues and communist insurgency pressing in some pockets in the population base.

At the research and extension College of Agriculture Schiede Farm in Negros Island in the Philippine republic there has been some news about "rethinking" the paddy culture referred to here for seagrass and fishpond culture which is green in nature requiring pool liners that have been sunk and anchored and also sealable in case of storm or typhoon and flooding to contain the pooled saline, the use of bat guano and vermicultured enriched soil as a base to grow with and fishes that feed freely on seagrass and sparged diets and further fertilize with base with their litter.  The yield of each field paddy will have to be determined as to how many mixed farmed cattle can be finished using byproduct/conventional grain feeding for meat (and dairy if possible) based on year round planting and harvesting, pressing and air drying of the HQ hays.

Estuarine Aquatics with Farm Effluent Using "Greener" FarmTech(R) Technology for Filipino Farmers.

A viable alternative for fishpond-type culture for seagrass rearing as fodders is to feed it into the dammed estuarine chambers adjacent to farmlands for raising alternatively fodders from aquatic botanicals of both water hyacinth and duckweed spp.  Silting is a critical process and has to be preliminarily held in a holding containment area and biologically processed like treatment water and measured for biological activity together with requisite nutrient content for plant life (e. g. N-P-K). These presents a contention for utilizing it in a rice paddy setting for organic rice farming. The inlet from the pump source is from ground well water with sandy loam, in addition to a mud base. A lot of farm waste effluent (mixed with water) can be treated in a conventional water treatment plant rather than just left as an organic pollutant to settle in the environment around farms. The fodders are very valuable including silage storage management for year round feeding of cattle (dairy and beef) and also as feed for pig production.l

The paddy farm is saline and liner bound and replaceable by soil evacuation to the neighboring sea which silts naturaly. Sea life like both fish, etc. is a boon to business like mixed farming yet to be worked out in field workers practices.

Paddy Farming in Canada and Other Temperate Climes - A Pilot Ph.D. - Level Project

For practical considerations heat (viz. Winter season) paddy pools enclosures can be used in agri-food research areas like we have in Abbotsford/Chilliwack, British Columbia where Ph.D.-level programmes by study credits and on-farm research can be carried out for grain-fed/grass-fed finished beef and grass-fed dairy using HQ pressed/dried grass.  Acreage is needed for expanse to plant such seagrasses year round with regular harvesting.

Fishpond culture can be integrated with this type of setup as well and is ecologically sound.

The recent developments with functional amino acids (FAA) feeding will allow us to field test further the use of HIS/ARG/LEU, as e.g.s., with the radioimmunoassay for plasma hormonal levels, e. g. bGRH/bGH and the carcass analyses for LBM accretion and body fat as a % of body mass on the abbattoir. At Skye Blue we are currently pursuing the industry proposal to push ahead with our proprietary DT-PAGE electrophoretic miniprotein reader and reagent kit also for quantifying food such as dairy and enzymes, hormonal, vaccine, immuno and other standard protein titres in industrial fermentation.

A note of precaution and proposal for urgent botanical studies and plant agrocrop sciences in agricultural sciences to produce non-GM varieties that are either faster-growing by protoplast fusion and via MAS breeding that have superior nutritive value (NV) qualities, have faster carbon (C) sequestration, and have greater tufting per sq ft growing area.  Also organic fertilizer like bat or bird guano is proposed.  The UBC, Point Grey, Vancouver-area in British Columbia Canada is such a projected centre for excellence in research in Botany where this can be proposed and encouraged.

Seagrass pooled enclosures are considered an advance in Asia - Far East including the frigid Siberian mainland where solar heated control will allow year round planting and harvesting. Meat and dairy will now be possible in such forbidding  extremes using hi-growth varieties as species.

Riverine buffalo spp. from the Indian sub-continent are to be considered seriously for such cararanching production enterprise for meat slaughter in addition to dairy farming fed estuarine fresh water water hyacinth and duckweed including the Philippine Islands and around SE Asia and the tropical, sub-tropical Australian continent, respectively. Taste tests have proven favourable preliminarily with carasteaks leaving this 'game' type meat available for export open to question.

Planning Aquaponics Open-Air Pond Aquatic Plant Spp. Culture in B. C. Canada.

In the LFS of B. C. there is ready land (year round makes land prohibitive) in the interior for half the year (of course GH growing is out of the question in the massive scale required by water hyacinth, duckweed although marine seagrass with aquaponics is still possible) for beef likely based on output for both 'as is' or as pressed/dehydrated hay. Ducks, poultry, pigs and small ruminants can also be produced on the side based on water hyacinth spp. for feeding. Dairy will likely be produced from marine seagrass dedicated year-round GH growers for this type of forage feed and of v. high quality for hi-producing cows and grass-fed which is both expensive and thus lucrative, as agri-retailers to dairy producers in the peri-urban/rural areas in B. C.
