BOOK PUBLICATIONS IN THIS BOOK CORNER OR NOOK:

1. SUPPLEMENTATION WITH FEED PROTEIN AND ENERGY CONCENTRATES OR PRETREATMENT VIS-A-VIS MICROBIAL PROBIOTICS ON LOW-QUALITY DIETS.

$75.00

$60.00

On Sale  (HARD COPY)
Feed and microbial flows both contribute directly and not directly to protein flow in the intestines of ruminant livestock. Conventional feeding protein / energy concentrates and pretreatment of basal rations versus plasmid-based genetic engineering (viz. GEditing or gene editing) as well as mutagenesis for strain improvement and co-culture are approaches discussed to manipulate flow. (See: J. M. Forbes 2007 book publication, CABI, U.K.)

2. A COMPILATION OF LIGNOCELLULOSE FEEDSTOCK AND RELATED RESEARCH FOR FEED, FOOD AND ENERGY. ORIGINAL EDITION. FIRST PUBLISHED back IN 2013.

(Note: We have communicated with Xlibris LLC, Bloomington IN USA about the authors understanding to halt further publication of this inaugural edition with the exception of the e-book for the PDA device. This edition is now available in Australia/N.Z. where we plan to POD, distribute, and market the 2nd edition titled: "Lignocellulosic Biotechnology and Related Research. Related Research for Feed, Food and Energy," from Xulon Press of Mill City Press, Maitland FL USA.)
A monograph on various topics with implications on new or possible advances with lignocellulose research in regards to animal feeding and also lending itself to bioenergy feedstock. The issues of various pretreatment and crop improvements with biotech and digestion are discussed.

4.  FLORES SYNTHESIS OF [26-13C]-LANOSTERAL FROM LANOSTEROL. WITH SCHEMATA FOR PRO-VITD DRUG CANDIDATE FOR CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY-TYPE ETIOLOGY. in consideration for RESEARCH & DESIGN, MANUFACTURE AND MARKETING through k college of kalamazoo michigan, usa. COPY IS LODGED AT THE KALAMAZOO COLLEGE UPJOHN LIBRARY COMMONS FOR STUDENTS, STAFF AND THE PUBLIC.

The undergraduate thesis dates from research back to 1980 at Kalamazoo College USA and awarded with honours on steroidal chemistry beginning the journey with elaborating the side-chain of Lanosterol (animal, fungi). As a precursor to experiments described for pro-VitD drug agonists (called here VitD-As) for anti-chronic inflammatory drugs we hope will have eventual use as a preventative health nutritional (PHN) for heart-health drug applications. Potential use of semi-labour, plant-based aquaponics marine grass land-based cropping using our chemically- synthesized Lanosterol (animal, fungi) derivative introduced by reusable intra-tissue plant implant above the root / stem junction (uptake by s. osmotic pressure) to a timed delivery dosage to fully harvest of leafy parts, with downstream processing to extract bioactive forms of UV-protected VitD-As using rec-chloroplastid expressed genes in leaves.  For more: go to http://dannflores9.word-press.com.

5.  PEER-REVIEWED PAPER: D. A. Flores (2021) Silage feeding with water hyacinth in the tropics: a research note. agricultural sciences (journal), 2022, 13, 282-289.

On Sale  (HARD COPY)

Paper covers the prospects of silage feeding of water hyacinth as a feed in the tropics and also discusses using grass or legumes as a model system the biochemical changes resulting from the fermentation process in ensilage with functional amino acids metabolism and the ruminal microbial-based digestive process with regards to its protein nutrition and intake control.

6. PEER-REVIEWED PAPER: D. A. FLORES (2022) (UNDER SUBMISSION). SOME ISSUES FOR PARAMETERS WITH PROTEIN FOR TROPICAL AND TEMPERATE SILAGE: A RESEARCH NOTE. AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES (AS), SCIRP (WUHAN PR CHINA).

Amino acid metabolism postprandially after feeding a restrictive supply in absorbable peptides/amino acids with the ensiled versus fresh-frozen treatments.  Evidence for negative nitrogen (N) balance with protein/amino acid degradation in feed and the response of mobilized tissue protein stores by amino acids, indicated in sheep plasma with feeding.

Publications: books and papers in print now available.

(Note: D. A. Flores. 2018. "A Compilation of Lignocellulose Feedstock and Related Research for Feed, Food and Energy," Xlibris (U.S.A.):  ISBN: 978-1-4797-6537-9.) (Kindle and Nook e-book editions still available only. Apparently new books in print still available with book depository including the USA, Australia/N.Z. and the U. K. with Xlibris LLC. USA)

1. D. A. Flores. 2022.  Lignocellulosic Biotechnology and Related Research. Related Research for Feed, Food and Energy. Vol. I, with Xulon Press of Mill City Press of Maitland FL USA, and also to be with the Ingram Content Group Australia.

2. Vol II is on (In Press) - Biotechnology Research and Animal Feeding and Production; status is as partially written and yet to be published.

3. Vol III is on (In Press) - Biotechnology Research and "Green" Bio-Energy Generation; is partially written in outline form and yet to be published.
