I'm college student, who, in the very near future will be faced with the decision of where I will go to Grad School. However since I have only recently switched my major to Molecular Genetics, I am unaware of where I should even begin to look. I am interested greatly in human genetics so I hope any program I become involved with, would have at least some focus on that area. I have several questions to you, the respected men and woman in this field. When and how should I start my search? What colleges would you recommend for my grad work? Should I obtain my masters first, even though several programs go straight to Ph.D degree, or is that acceptable? What should I expect from this experience? What should I be wary of, and look out for in my quest? And finally how can I prepare myself as a student to be more likely to be accepted into the programs I find and favor? I would sincerely appreciate all your responses, and look forward to hearing your advice.IP: 128.146.210.37 |
