The Genetic Association Database is a free public NIH based and supported resource
which is involved in archiving published genetic association studies. Over the past two years it has grown to become one of the largest public repositories of medically relevant human polymorphism. This was recently published in Nature Genetics. http://geneticassociationdb.nih.gov

Recently, we have added a new function to GAD of an experts database.
This is to help maintain the scientific quality of our database as well as to promote scientific exchange between scientists that have an interest in the genetics of a particular gene or disease.

Please consider becoming a disease or gene expert in the Genetic Association Database.
There are some responsibilities to being a GAD expert and some benefits.
You can find a summary of those here: http://geneticassociationdb.nih.gov/cgi-bin/expertlist.cgi

I hope you will agree to participate. We believe experts will gain by their participation fostering cooperative relationships and progress in their respective fields.

If you have any questions or comments, please drop me a line.

Sincerely,

Kevin G. Becker Ph.D.
