Dear Scientist

This email is to announce that the HGBASE polymorphism database is being renamed HGVbase (Human Genome Variation database) to reflect its additional new role as a central depository for mutation collection efforts undertaken in allegiance with the Human Genome Variation Society (HGVS), as described at http://www.hgvs.org/.

HGVbase remains a FULLY ACADEMIC project, hosted at the new URL;

http://hgvbase.cgb.ki.se/
