AnaSpec, Eurogentec Group, is pleased to release 11 MMP inhibitors to complement our wide offering of MMP SensoLyte® 520 and 490 fluorimetric kits, colorimetric kits, recombinant proteins, and Z-Fish™ antibodies (antibodies specific for zebrafish). These MMP inhibitors are small molecules and act as either potent broad-spectrum inhibitors or selective inhibitors of MMPs. They can be used as reference compounds for validating new MMP assays, and/or for identifying novel MMP inhibitors. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of secreted or membrane-associated zinc endopeptidases capable of digesting extracellular matrix components. 1,2 They are involved in many aspects of both physiological processes and pathological conditions such as tumor development and metastasis, 3,4 rheumatoid arthritis. 5 As a result, compounds that inhibit MMP activity are considered promising therapeutic agents.6 For more information, please visit http://www.anaspec.com/products/promotions.asp?id=83&col=2&row=2 References 1.
