Kyiv, Ukraine, 5th of December, 2009 – OTAVA Ltd., a chemical and drug discovery company which is focused on developing kinase inhibitors, in silico & molecular modeling for pharmaceutical research as well as combinatorial chemistry and development of fluorescent probes is pleased to release its new product – a set of 80 new protein kinase focused libraries.
“This is a new product we are distributing on the market since January, 2009” – said Victor Matyushok, CEO of OTAVA. “It is based on our many years of experience in this field. To prepare these focused libraries, our experts have implemented a number of crucial improvements of a calculation algorithm which include calculation of atom charges as well as unique force field and scoring functions. Our goal is to cover all possible protein kinase targets for which crystal structures are resolved. It gives an unprecedented choice of focused libraries to our customers” – he stated.
A core of the focused library preparation algorithm is flexible receptor-ligand docking. Each library is based on OTAVA’s in-house collection of about 500,000 compounds.
