AnaSpec, a worldwide provider of integrated proteomics solutions, published a technical article entitled, “Sensitive FRET Assays Aid Drug Discovery” in the August edition of Biophotonics International. The article, written by AnaSpec employees Cecilia Po and Vera Rakhmanova, Ph.D., offers a general overview of FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) technology. It also highlights some of the applications and methodologies of FRET-based assays, using several of AnaSpec’s own FRET substrates and assay kits as examples.
