In less than 3 years since their introduction, AnaSpec’s SensoLyte™ line of MMP assay kits have quickly become the new standard in MMP assay sensitivity. With published results in world-class journals and the industry’s longest wavelength, the SensoLyte™ 520 line is one of the most sensitive (see Figure 1) and brightest lines of MMP assay kits in the world.
SensoLyte™ MMP assay kits can be used to detect the activity of MMPs in serum, plasma, synovial fluids, supernatants of cell culture media, tissue homogenates, and sputum. They are also ideal for the screening of MMP inducers and inhibitors.

SensoLyteTM 520 MMP kits incorporate a 5-FAM/QXL520™ labeled FRET peptide substrate. With superior fluorescence quantum yield and longer emission wavelength, these FRET peptides more effectively avoid the autofluorescence of test compounds.

Addressing the poor substrate sequence specificity of certain members of the MMP family, SensoLyte Plus™ MMP assay kits employ a novel immuno-capture technique for researchers who need to identify the activity of a specific MMP in a complex biological sample containing multiple MMPs.
